Furla Candy Bags

Alright Ladies, I know I'm at work but I got sidetracked and was able to tracked down the only Furla Candy bag online! I got mine off of the Zappos's site. It should be here in the next few days. In the meantime here is a picture of the Furla Candy Bag in all the colours. I was able to get the last bag and it was in acacia. Lucky me!!!!

LEPETIT CUPCAKERY

This past weekend I ventured over to Williamsburg to go to the Brooklyn Flea and Artist and Flea. Unfortunately, it was so windy that I couldn't enjoy the BK Flea. I did however, sneak away from the wind and stopped by the Artist and Flea. There were tons of vendors that sold vintage clothes, jewelry and newer items as well.

I love cupcakes and was actually looking for Kumquat Cupcakery when I stumbled upon LePetit Cupcakery. Check out this Bacon cupcake. It was scrumptious.

Turks and Caicos

We went to Providenciales aka Provo in Turks and Caicos this past weekend. It was great, however I felt that I didn't do enough research before my trip.  We had to learn a lot of things the hard way. So here are some tips and pointers for you future travellers!

Stay: Best to stay in Grace Bay, they have the best resorts such as the Gansevoort Resort, Seven Stars, Alexandra Resort, etc. If you want exclusion (mind you that it's an arm and leg), then stay at the Amanyara Resort on the West side of the Island.

Transportation: RENT A CAR. Caicos Wheels is a great place to rent from.  Every cab ride is ~30 to 40 bucks for a 5 minute drive. It's not worth it. Car rentals are about 39 to 50 USD a day. Even if you only drive to the market to pick up necessities, this is worth it.

Food: Bagatelle Bistro and Beach Grill at the Gansevoort Hotel or Mango Reef at the Alexandra resort. We drove to Da Conch Shack and honestly, I was quite disappointed as most reviews said this is worth your buck. I went home after dinner to eat frozen pizza. Not happy. =(

Nightlife: Nonexistent. You can go to Bagatelle at the Gansevoort on Friday, since there's a DJ. There's this club called 'Club Pillows' (looks shady to me) on Grace Bay, and lastly there's a casino called Casablanca (not so hot) , also on Grace Bay.

Ultimately, the trip was great. It's definitely very resort and nothing more than that. We tried exploring the 'local' joints and only found disappointments. The beaches are beautiful and romantic. We also rented a boat on Saturday and islands hopped to various cays around. We went to Parrot Cay (most celebs have homes here, i.e. Oprah, Donna Karen, etc), Dellis Cay, Fort George (my favourite, I went diving for sand dollars),  Pine Cay and Little Water Cay (where you can find Iguanas).  It was fun, islands hopping was probably the best part of my trip. Below are some photos for a sneak peek, I will need to develop some film before I can upload them here. TBC...

On our way to TCI

A great Sunday...

I started my day at Gemma for brunch. I have to say that this time it was very unimpressive. The service and execution of the dishes were lacking tremendously. Maybe, I'll give it a try again when they put the tables outside in the Summer. As for now, Gemma is off my list of favourite brunch places.

After Gemma, we went to Fashion for Japan at the Bowery Hotel to peak the rolling racks featuring 60 + designers such as Alexander Wang, Altuzarra, Bess, Helmut Lang, Opening Ceremony, Theyskens' Theory and more. It was a two-day sample sale started on Saturday and ended today. Of course, I was afraid  of the massive line yesterday, so I went today after Brunch at Gemma with my BFF LW..

After digging and digging, I got a tank top by Obesity and Speed

It was time to go to Susie's Baby Shower at the Moldy Fig Jazz Club, so I went and played with IO, my new favourite baby. She's the bestest! (SERIOUSLY, SHE IS THE COOLEST BABY AND HER PARENTS ARE SO FASHIONABLE AND HIP)

Knowing my ADD self, I skipped halfway through the baby shower and went shopping in LES. I stopped by my favourite store The Reformation for a peep; thought I'll find something cute for Turks and Caicos this week. I found a great pair of black silk shorts.

To end the day, I'm going to cook some beef chow fun for dinner. Will blog a new entry for the recipe.

Bisous,
JT

I'm really loving these Spring Flora prints. My favourite is the first picture of Sheila in the Versus Dress.
It's beautiful! I'm completing loving that dress, although I can't find it online, I found a variation of it on www.ly.st.
