Sasha Grey - Neu Sex

I was invited to the book signing of Sasha Grey this evening at Housing Works in Soho. Of course I was too busy trying to booze up that I couldn't get a spot closer. =/

I also ended up going to the afterparty at Heathers in Alphabet City and got a chance to meet Sasha as her Literary agent is a friend of mine. She's so young and quite a cool girl. I'm looking forward to her long career. Some notable people that showed up were Bun B and Questlove from The Roots.

You can purchase her book Neu Sex  on Amazon.

Look out designer handbags - Nobuski bag is coming

Completely and utterly in love w/ my Nobuski bag. I opted out all of my designer bag and wear my Nobu bag, which I call it 'Nobu.'

I was lucky enough to get this Nobu bag as it seems that he hasn't mass produce it yet. Thanks Nobu! <3 you!

Diana Mini + Kodak E100 G film +Terakawa Ramen

My dear friend Hiro introduced me to Lomography products one lovely Saturday afternoon. We stopped by  Terakawa Ramen for delicious ramen and then we ventured down the street for some fun at the Lomography Store. This was my first time playing around with film cameras and different types of films. I learned so much at this store!!!! Although I had numerous choices, I decided on a mini Diana Camera for it's size and the fact that it takes 35mm film (easier to find) AND it takes half frames. After some fun in Madison Park, I dropped my kodak e100 g film off to get it cross process at the Lomography store. Totally cool!

Check out the results:

This was so fun and was my first time using the Diana mini, film and cross processing.

Ah...here are some photos of Terakawa Ramen...so yum!

Sashimi of Hamachi with Blood Orange and Ginger Vinaigrette

I found this amazing recipe in the Tetsuya's cookbook that I bought on Amazon. Since I'm unable to make it out to Australia to eat at his restaurant, this cookbook will do for the time being.

The only place I can think of to get fresh Hamachi and sliced is at The Lobster Place in Chelsea Market. I bought 16 of 1 oz precut slices of Hamachi...

Then I followed the recipe as follows:

I substituted grapefruit for blood orange (1 ruby red grapefruit), segmented and all pith removed.

GINGER VINAIGRETTE
1 drop orange oil
1 drop sherry vinegar
1/4 teaspoon finely grated ginger
1 teaspoon soy sauce
1/4 teaspoon finely crushed garlic
Salt and pepper to taste

GARNISH
Chives, finely chopped
Parsley
Baby spinach or baby mâché
This time I only used baby spinach for garnish

The final product is....

Tada! it was quite simple and VERY scrumptious. I would suggest cutting these pieces to smaller pieces. if you want merely for appetizers, cut it 1/4 of an inch and perhaps 2 pieces for each person. My dinner guests all love Hamachi, therefore I purchased a good chunk. Bon Appetit!

My Mixxi

My talented cousin Evelyn Nguyen and her partner Nikki Tran collaborated and  started their own shoe accessories line. Everything is handmade w/ Love in California. The materials are collectively scouted from all over Asia and Europe. Here is a teaser photo...

This photo is just so sexy and seductive! Give me a pair of Mixxi please! =) Lucky me, I was given the opportunity to represent Mixxi in the East Coast and Europe. Beautiful weather, Mixxi products and high high heels...here I come!

If you live in an area where there's no Mixxi, need not to worry, Mixxi can be bought online at www.mymixxi.com

NEW BLOG!

So I used to write on my other blog, but then realized that I no longer style photoshoots so it's time to start a new blog. Unfortunately with my new job at a hedgefund, time doesn't permit anymore photoshoots for the time being.

So, welcome to my new blog...
